Partner Event: Tour of the Alberta Carbon Conversion Technology Centre Hosted by InnoTech Alberta

Ever wondered what it actually looks like to capture carbon at scale? This is your chance to find out.

Join us for a guided tour of the Alberta Carbon Conversion Technology Centre (ACCTC), one of Canada's most unique carbon capture demonstration facilities, located right here in Calgary next to the Shepard Energy Centre.

At ACCTC, real industrial flue gas from an 860 MW natural gas power plant is being used to test and validate the next generation of carbon capture and utilization technologies. This isn't a lab bench — it's a full-scale proving ground where innovators come to de-risk their climate solutions before bringing them to the world.

During the tour, you'll get an up-close look at the facility's five demonstration bays, explore the Amine CO₂ Capture Unit, and hear directly from the scientists and engineers working to turn CO₂ from a liability into an asset.

What you'll see:

  • Live carbon capture operations using flue gas from an active power plant
  • The Amine CO₂ Capture Unit producing concentrated CO₂ on-site
  • Active tenant technology demonstrations

Who should attend: Climate-curious professionals, students, engineers, policymakers, and anyone who wants to see climate action happening in their own backyard.
